And it's not one of those China fakes :D

After their last high capacity card (128G:cool:, Sandisk has released a 200GB card. What I do wonder is why 200 and not 256 Gb, since that would be logical pattern right?

The card has the following specs -

    - Stores upto 20 hours of Full HD Video
    - Class 10 speeds upto 90 MB/s
    - 10 year warranty
    - Water-proof, X-Ray proof, magnet and Temperature resistance (within reasonable limits).

    Operating temperature: -13ºF to 185ºF (-25ºC to 85ºC)
    Storage temperature: -40F to 185ºF (-40ºC to 85ºC)

Crucially, this will be priced at 399$ or roughly 24,000 INR, which is much more than most mobile phones.

Not sure if all devices will support such high capacities, but with 64 and 128 GB being possible, I don't see a reason why 200 GB could not be supported.

Now to only imagine or consider the kind of data that can be stored in such a high capacity card, or lost for that matter, if anything goes wrong :)

Interesting, for mobile users I don't see the need, but for photographers and for PMP, it's useful.
