So i was reading this Android magazine, and it had some fun facts about Android. One of them mentioned that Android can be installed on your netbook/PC and can be used like a fully functional operating system.

I googled around and stumbled upon this x86 project on Android.

    ReleaseNote 4.0-RC2 - Android-x86 - Porting Android to x86

I am curious to try it out, however wanted to check if anyone has already done it or attempted it?

I have used Android on a couple of Lapdroids, and it is by all means not that bad, however internet connectivity is almost a must. It is good for an old laptop or netbook, but I would still prefer a lite Linux distro for that, the reason being Android is touch optimised, so unless the netbook/laptop has a touch screen I wouldn't suggest it or a mouse & keyboard environment.
