Need something that's preferably cheap, and gives me an All in one solution.

Was using Quick Heal, but the damn thing is not ready to work with windows 8.1 :(

    Thanks in advance!

Piece of Shit Windows 8.1, I nearly lost all my data.

So Quick Heal Internet security does not work with 8.1 (It was working just fine when my laptop was 8. I upgraded to 8.1 and it's not compatible).

The downloaded version applicable for 8.1 does not recognize my product key (that I got with the Quick Heal CD).

I tried uninstalling and re-installing in compatiblity mode for windows 7, windows 8, error after error.

Anyhow I decide to go with Kaspersy Internet Security, so I un-install Quick Heal.

Now when I reboot, I am given a temporary profile login, WTF! What the serious, actual F! I cant access any of my files, and this is like a fresh reboot of my PC.

I copy the my files to an external HDD and scout online for fixes. From doing registry editing to disc check to what not, I try everything. Nothing.

Nada, zilch, nothing. I'm pulling my hair out by this time, doing reset, reboot, log out, log in, drive check blah blah just to get it to work.

Finally I think of system restore and thankfully I had a system restore from 2 days ago. Did that and tada, saved by the bell. Phew.

Norton 360, been using it for a good 4-5 years, not a single issue thus far.

^^ Yes you can, but most things (updates, game updates, some games) require you to have a working internet connection now.

Norton used to be bloatware, alot of their features, you need not use, the firewall and antivirus work great on their own, the added cleaners and stuff really never actually bother you. I find Norton 360 to be pretty light on resources and no, you won't get viruses through games, even those obtained via not-so-legal means.

I have at some point around 4 years back used the Norton 360 that was available then on a P4 with 512MB RAM running XP.

Nah All purchases here are legit. So no worries on the gaming front. What's your take on Kaspersky?

Honestly, I don't think the internet is as dangerous as it used to be some 5-7 years back, most of the popular internet security bundles are right there at the top, and it is just a personal choice. Avira/ESET/Norton as some of the ones I have used/recommended, with Norton being my favorite, but as I said it is a personal choice, and with a little cautious browsing, nothing should go wrong.

Quick heal AFAIK is Indian shit. Default av that comes with it good enough for me as of now but I just started using 8.1 Pro few days ago. Loving it.
