Need to buy one during my visit to India.

    Requirements -

    1 - HD playback
2 - As many media formats as possble
3 - easy to use (non geek friendly)
4 - Fast and responsive - Very important. The WDTV Live loses heavily on this bit.

I have picked these from eBay, if FlipKart or Snapdeal has something suitable, please let me know so that I can order accordingly.

    Help!

It's on its last legs. Wanna replace it before it gives up.

Non-Geek friendly. So no keyboard/mouse. Need a player to which a USB stick or HDD can be hooked up to. If it has one built in, better.

And a remote that allows one to select the media to be played. Will be used for occasional music playback as well (thru the Sound system).

XBMC can be setup to be very non-Geeky, supports media besides the internal drives and is probably the most optimised player for almost all the available remotes for PC. But it does require a one time setup.

Maybe you could try Plex as well.

Asus player man. Besides the remote being a bit flimsy and not that responsive it is just a better version of the nationite you had.. a lot better..
