    Okay. So I had a talk with some ASUS service rep and he told me that the ASUS U46 is not sold anymore .. its the K . X & G series notebooks which are being sold.

    So I upped my budget to 50k went by Reliance Digital and checked out some entry level ultrabooks from Lenovo, HP & Sony.

    Sony Vaio T - i3, 4GB , 500GB Hybrid HDD, Intel GMA - 45k (didnt like the KB , typing didnt, feel natural due to cramped 13" body)
    HP Envy 6 - i3, 500FB, 4GB, ATI 7670M - 47k (touch pad had a funky feel and no click buttons you had to push down on the edges.. )
    Lenovo U410 - i3, 500GB , 4GB , Intel GMA - NA (pretty meh)


    I liked the HP Envy 6 - Light Weight , Sleek body , 14" HD Screen, Beats Audio Speakers + EQ , 8 hrs backup and ATI Graphics but its Core i3 2nd Gen. - 47k
    Although Flipkart has this -- HP Envy 4-1025TX - Core i5 3rd Gen + 4GB + 500GB + ATI 7670M + 8 hours backup - 52k

    What say raiders .. Is it time to go for ultrabooks ?

    yep. and invest in a 2k DVD USB drive. Go for the HP. sounds and looks good!

    I also have a Samsung 10% Employees Discount coupon but the Samsung sales guy refused to take it .. :( saying Samsung isnt refunding the coupons to the stores .. :( :(

    Also Samsung laptops in this range tend to heat up a lot when running on dedicated Graphics. and there was only a small exhaust vent on the laptop so thats my concern.

    ^^ Invest in a good lappy cooler with this? Or do it the old fashioned way, by keeping it on a steel plate! :p

    Checked with DELL ? I think for < 55k you get something with an i5 !

    Also anyone checked with SMC? They now have separate ASUS laptop zone, as most members from Delhi must have noticed.

    What does SMC have..?
