If we could consolidate our current positions and then go about an infrastructure building spree, it would be wonderful. Arguing too long over a legacy of mash up left by the British Raj and then our own former Prime Minister has a) left us in no bargaining position, b) allowed China to ramp up their infrastructure near the borders. My recommendation - For once and for all, end it, define the borders, and then make em impenetrable. This will deter any future angles that anyone would have on India and also allow us to consolidate our position for once.
+1,They aren't amicable in the first place, hence I don't see this border issue getting solved anytime soon . Its again going to be hand shake meeting ,and will remain like that for many more years .
if india offers dalai lama on plate, all border issues will be solved. But we would ostracised completely by rest of the world for doing so.
We shouldn't and cannot do that. But the border resolution has to be firm and definite. The government is planning forward settlements in the north west. Which can only be termed a positive move.
