So I got my hands on a Beetel ADSL modem with Wi-Fi. The kind that Airtel gives with a broadband connection.

I was hoping to hook it up to my Belkin Wi-Fi router thru Ethernet and use the Beetel as a repeater/router and augment the Wi-Fi signal in my house.

Is it as simple as it sounds? Has anyone done this before?

Go to the configuration page for the one you want to use as repeater, there should be a "Wireless Repeating Function", enable it, you'll need to provide the MAC address of the internet connected router, which you'll find in a similar menu for that device.

Go to the master device and access the "Wireless Repeating Function", add the MAC address for the repeating router. Done!
