In Gurgaon! Supposed to be priced at below 4 Lakhs, this will compete with the likes of the M800 Alto, the Hyundai Eon and the non-existent competitors the Tata Nano and the Chevrolet Spark. I think it's a smart move by Nissan, keeping the Datsun name for the entry level hardware and the Nissan brand for higher models. Something that Maruti Suzuki could never do, Even though the Kizashi or the SX4 are decent machines, Suzuki could never rub off the mass car manufacturer image, which associated the brand with cheap vehicles. Though Nissan ain't a zuki in India, but this allows for better brand Distribution, and rather than people perceiving the brand as a failure (a la Fiat) in India, will pay their attention to the specific model/vehicle only. The launch is at Kingdom of Dreams for those interested in seeing the car first hand!
