I fully support this view. Though there have been Capital punishments for other heinous acts, the audacity and dare devilry with which Rapes occur in our country, one would be hard pressed to believe that we are in an educated, mannered society. It seems more like the fact that the people who do such things, are openly challenging the system, society and the judicial system at large, with no fear of the law makers, and law keepers. A harsh sentence would be the right one. One has no right to scar someone for life, and walk away scot free. The importance of human life, and most importantly, respect and dignity has to be taught, even if it means going the harsh way.
