I think hes already on to that idea.
right, change the topic wherever you like it.
+1, share Delhi experiences like people driving with their fog lights on even in summers, and not realizing that fog lights are not to see, but to be seen!!!
And then their bulbs over heat and short out, and when winters actually come and fogs are needed, they put silly yellow sweet packing plastic sheets on the headlights!
I remember reading somewhere, that no color has in particular a higher penetration than others. Its just a myth that yellow penetrates better, moreover the moment you put a plastic sheet over the headlight, you are reducing the amount of light going out, reducing its penetrating ability.
( Actually this is turning out to be a great test to document/carry out in a foggy night! )
We should make tjis as a standard feature, but also keep in mind that we do not irritate some people.. Or groups..
Fog lights are for both purposes.
properly designed front fog lights are meant to light up specific areas of the road. I do turn them on, along with low beam. much more subtle than a high beam.
But unless there is a reduction in visibility, the concentration of the source ( small diameter ) light, makes it extremely uncomfortable for others coming head on. In fact in various countries, there is a regulation that fog lights should be used only if the visibility is below 300 yards or so.
aka belgium.... at one point my dad hada belgian boss, they do not use there even during heavy fog...but mumbai is different.....
