Most of you have seen my Beloved Tata Nano.

I have painted the rims Matt Black, and have a 4 inch 3-D Carbon fiber effect strip running down the sides.

Here are some recent pics to remind you - This was taken during a routine tyre balancing and alignment job

    2013-01-02_15-49-48_177.jpg 2013-01-02_15-49-53_868.jpg 2013-01-02_15-50-06_771.jpg

Now that's been on for quite some time now, nearly 2 years now. And I have gotten bored of the dull strips along the side.

What I am looking at doing -

    - Doing Matt black vinyl work on the car, Maybe highlight the fenders, or the area before the intake etc.
    - Do a stripe on the hood, or the whole roof black like one of those Expo models.

Where I need your input -

    - Design a Nano, with stickering ( make sure it's feasible, so no over the top complex tribal patterns or something ), preferably something simple.

    - I am looking it doing it on the sides, as well as on the hood, rear and roof if the design calls for it.

Points to be noted. The current black strips were put up to create a break in the vehicle. This helps it look squatter and wider than it actually is. The black wheel rims also help with this butch look. So think along these lines please.

The best design idea, design wins this -

    Nano scale model.jpg

A 1/43 scale model of the Tata Nano. Couriered Anywhere!

Your design can be a Photoshop of an image of a Nano, even in Paint or whatever suits you. Just as long as it's original!

This is just for fun. I do want some creative suggestions for a sticker job for my car!

Hmmm... did this quite a few times in the past.
Used to buy used cars in college (in the US) .. detail them, add a few designs/decals/trim..
and resell them. Survived most of college life that way.

Sadly.. last time I did this was quite a while back.. (My own car.. not to resell)
And had the benefit of getting parts from all across Europe.
Most of the parts came from Italy & Germany.. car was a black BMW M3
Have pics of the car somewhere.. will try to dig them out.

I dunno what's possible / feasible / worth it price-performance wise in India.
For example: Is it possible to paint the car? Not the whole car.. just parts.. for a dual color effect?
Lemme find a example paint job .. pic..

    Something like this...
This car looks similar to the Nano..
    japanesevendingmachine.jpg

Don't think this can be done with decals.. not the roof part...
BUT.. just the side bottom can be done with Decals:)

Can you post a pic of your car from the side..
One that we ( & mavihs ) can use in photoshop to see how it looks.

Luciffer I need decals on the side not on the inside!!!

Yes, the smart car type of work can be done. Basically as long as 60-70% of the original color of the vehicle is still visible it's alright. And as long as its a temporary vinyl/sticker, I can cover as much of the car as possible.

If I am painting any bit, if it's more than 50% of the vehicle, I will have to get it changed in the Registration, since paint would be permanent.

I have uploaded 3 pics of the car, as in how it looks now. Not much, just 2 strips along the sides.

the whole roof can be changed to Matt black, with a black sticker sheet. The issue I presumed doing it black was that it would heat up the inside a lot.

Here is one made by DC, Something that I really liked, covering the whole upper half of the vehicle in black. But having a Silver colored vehicle would not make it so much appealing.

Found this online as well. SRk designs or someone. Kudos on the work -

What I would like to do, is create the window effect that the Nano Pixel concept has. Maybe.

Using Matt black sticker sheet, I can create the curve below the front windows, over the doors, and then take it towards the back.

    Like this -

And then maybe carry some of it to the front hood as well.

Remember, no physical mods to the car. I just want to achieve a new look by covering/coloring the vehicle in a different/distinct color.

In the US/EU we used to use a lot of the "Carbon Fibrer" stickers.
Looks great on things like the rear view mirror.. for a simple upgrade
Simply take out any part of the car.. cover it in that .. and stick back in.. very simple for smaller parts..
But pretty much anything can be covered in that.. the front hood of your car comes to mind here
    Is this available in India?

Here's how simple this thing is to do:
    Hope these pics load.

Step 1: Clean the surface thoroughly.

Step 2: Apply the carbon fiber sheet on the hood.

Step 3: Spread out the carbon fiber sheet and eliminate all the air bubbles, you can use heat gun to get rid of all the bubbles.

Step 4: Open the hood to apply the carbon fiber sheet around the edge and cut off the extra.
    And you're done... :)
