Why the share? Read on. Here's a generic spec list of the vehicle -
    • 1.4-L SOHC 16-Valve Turbocharged (Standard on — SXT,Rallye,Limited)* - Optional 2.4 with 184 BHP
    • Power: 160 bhp @ 5,500 rpm
    • Torque: 250 N•m @ 2550 – 4,000 rpm
    • 6 Speed Auto (DDCT)
    • Air Conditioning w/Micron Filter
    • Speed Sensitive Power Locks
    • Chrome Interior Door Handles
    • Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC)
    • Illuminated vanity mirrors
    • Keyless Entry with Panic Alarm
    • 6-Way Manual Passenger Seat Adjust
    • 60/40 Rear Seat w/Trunk Pass-Thru
    • Urethane and Leather wrapped Steering Wheel
    • 17-in Aluminum Painted Wheels
    • Body Color Power Mirrors
    • Bi-halogen projector headlamps with chromed bezels
    • Chromed front and rear fascia accents
    • Comfort-tuned suspension
    • Tow Hooks
    • LED ''Racetrack'' Taillamps
    • Six-speakers
    • Uconnect 8.4 CD/MP3 system
    • Uconnect Voice Command W/Bluetooth
    • Advanced multi-stage air bags
    • Full-length side-curtain air bags
    • Seat-mounted side-thorax air bags
    • Driver’s knee bag
    • Electronic stability control (ESC)
    • Hill-start Assist (HSA)
    • Rain Brake Support (RBS)
    • Ready Alert Braking (RA:cool:
    • Tire-pressure monitoring (TPM)

All this and more, for a price tag that would put a Toyota Corolla to shame. Yep. Cheaper than a Corolla and that much more feature packed.

This retails between 59-69,000 AED, thats about 5000 AED (around 80,000 INR) cheaper than the nearest equally (though lesser) packed Corolla.

Why this is a win? The bold text above. While the Corolla has 2 Airbags (Driver and passenger), this comes with 10!

With an extended warranty + Service package, and those looks, this car get's a WIN status for me. It might not be as reliable as the Corolla, but then if you are considering something for 3-4 years, this makes a lot of sense.

There was a limited run of 300 cars only here. All have been sold out. Now everyone is looking towards next year's supply. This car really has what it takes to take the fight to the likes of the Hyundai Elantra, Chevrolet Cruze etc.

Go to agree, doesn't look like something from the Dodge stable.

I had the chance to drive the Limited edition last night. Some notes -

1 - Gear shift lever could be stronger. Feels extremely flimsy, but does the job.
2 - Key less engine start is a plus plus in this segment.
3 - The touchscreen is really easy and intuitive to control. You can operate everything in the vehicle from it.
4 - The second LCD (in the middle of the console), provides real time monitoring like tyre pressure etc. Good stuff.
5 - This has park assist, didn't get a chance to try it.
6 - The engine has a nice growl. Sluggish below 2000 rpm (typical of turbo), but really grunty once the turbo gets going. I had 5 people on board (including me) and the vehicle did not feel sluggish in traffic.
7 - Steering is typical American, but still better. Not as good as the Corolla.
8 - Interior feel and finish is far superior, Not as cheap as the Toyota :)
9 - Quality of materials (seat, seat belt, dashboard trip, rubber, plastics) is very very surprising. The vehicle provides that premium feel that others in the segment do miss.
10 - Boot space is adequate for the size.

    To sum up -

The rev range needs to be maintained, but over a period of time, one finds the way to compensate for the sluggish ness. The handling and braking do not reflect the american origins of the vehicle. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering a Dodge Dart, especially with the free service and warranty packages thrown in.
