Now I know MOZ's kit is the Kit to go for. However I need something that I can carry in my bag. Been having a lot of pain in my right hand (Upper side between thumb and index finger). So I need something on a budget, preferably one of those split design keyboards that I can hook up to my laptop whenever I need to use the keyboard for prolonged duration. Just ordered an Ergonomic mouse (vertical kind). Will share some pics once I receive it. Any ideas on the Ergonomic keyboard? Has to be USB powered. Wireless will do also. Thanks in advance!
I am working on an ergonomic travel keyboard kit. Hopefully we have something by this summer or earlier. ErgoTravel (ErgoT) - The small luggable Ergonomic keyboard For a portable keyboard I would suggest a 60% like a Poker and a Kensington trackball as your problem is in the right hand, which is your mouse using hand. a smaller layout would mean less movement. There really are no portable ergonomic keyboard, which is a little sad, but it is, what it is. Also you need to start using a mechanical keyboard ASAP.
Wow.. you've hidden your talent everywhere.. Now Ill have to start googling your ID I like the idea absolutely. It serves my purpose. Issue is no one is headed here until Feb-Mar. And my Razer is not portable enough to be lugged around with me.
Then for now order a 60% like the Poker: White KBC Poker 2 61keys Mechanical Keyboard Cherry MX Switches W/ PBT caps, Keyboard WOW
Thanks.. Looks awesome and practical. For now I have stopped using the mouse till I get my ergonomic one delivered(using laptop touchpad only). At home the Logitech wireless keyboard for the Raspi does duty.
Hmm, do remember one thing, with ergonomic devices, people often force themselves to accept that the device is actually better than their plain vanilla device, and in the process this causes more harm, so don't force yourself to like it, however do give it a chance and some time to grow on you.
Yep.. I need something that allows me to keep my hand in a natural position. I tried a couple of ergonomic mice before ordering this one.Tried one each from Logitech, 3M, and Merlin Checked out the reviews as well. I think this is the way to go.
Got this delivered today - Must say, it's super comfortable. Just getting the hang of it, but it does look like this is going to replace most of my regular mouse usage, other than gaming. The two switches on the side are to change the DPI. The way the hand rests naturally on this, does give a comfortable position. Cheers
I would strongly recommend __NOT__ getting the microsoft curve or any non-mech board for that matter. I outright refuse to believe someone can't like a mech board, if they say so, they just haven't tried hard enough and/or different options.
