    Hi Folks,

I need to install a portable fan in my car. Also i need something that can let Air come in the car and keep the mosquitoes OUT!

    Say what?

Wow this is something new to me. @jd666 would with this be good enough to be used early mornings say 6am-9am or maybe 10 under a cool shaded area, during summers in india(Ground Floor of my house to be precise). would one be able to sit in the car for a couple of hours. (you know my exact reason) so....?

If you leave this installed, it'll help keep the cabin cool. Basic point is that if you do not have air ventilating in and out of the car, you won't really be able to cool the interiors.

It needs sunlight to function though. Maybe two in each window of the car (front and rear) facing the sun should do it.

I am planning to get one once the summers really hit here.

Ok. but how about some air when i am sitting in the car for two hours(the car is not mobile.) i am touting my horn ;)

Also how many hours of charging and how many hours of ventilation.

Any other alternative in mind battery run stuff?

Well this is solar powered. So it needs direct sun light on it, that's about it.

For battery powered (12V socket) Any regular Car fan would do (200-250 Rs at any car accessory store that keeps stuff for taxis).

You could for starters probably buy a car cover that keeps your car cool in the heat.

Only other resort is to start engine on idle and use A/C in short bursts (Use for 10 minutes shut down for 10 minutes).

would this run on the lighter point?

I am thinking of fixing a fan and getting a long extension from the first floor.

Also about the mosquito's, how to get rid of them? netted ventilation??

You can have the ac vents open to the outside and then have another person sit next to you and ask him / her to use this :
