Pretty Much ,most of the State Highways in India are in Bad shape and there are times when is there is no road at all .Example route to bharatpur pretty much sucks, when you go from Mathura side .They are repairing it for the past 6 years, and it is yet to be in good shape .Just explains that Babus are busy filling their pockets and doing a lazy job .

Yeah... Absolutely... Tons of fuel is wasted due to jams as a result of bad roads, tolls, construction that takes too long to finish, diversions and incorrect traffic management.
To add to it, a who-gives-damn attitude people and that too far too many in number!

I agree, coz bad roads, traffic jams, toll jams, repair work and other tings take their toll on the fuel being consumed in a vehicle..
the sad part is, that there is not much effort by the govt and or babus to rectify the situation, even if the economy is bad, they can start constructions and thus creating lasting value in infra projects and help kickstart the economy !!
but nobody is doing anything !!!
