Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus USB 2.0 ATX Case: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
Let's move beyond cases. So what keyboard?
Not buying keyboard. Sorry.
How about a workstation laptop.. Like the one Sheldon has?
Hmm, decided on the case?
I think either of the two
Aerocool Strike-X Air Open Frame PC Case E-ATX
Coolermaster Storm Enforcer Mid Tower ATX Case
^^ You buy that Aerocool case and I'll gift you something for your rig!
^ Using this one.
Is it a pony?
What are you gonna do with a pony and your rig? Add more horse(pony)power to it?
Naah pony is for going to the shop to buy parts.
Why not a workstation Laptop? M17X or something?
I hate laptops. I have one for last 3.75 years. I want a desktop.
Anyway, this thread is about the components.
The PSU, CPU, Chassis is more of less final.
I need to zero down motherboards.
invited someone who can help out.
See dude, I am trying to balance things
CPU = 170 £
PSU = 80 £
Cab = 80-90 £
GPU = 250 £
RAM, SSD etc are pretty fixed.
I donno how much should I spend on Mobo
perhaps anywhere between 60 to 100 £, I think
PS: 1 £ = 100 Rs.
here's what i would have done if i was in the market
Asus Z87 Plus
16GB of whatever ram you can find(8GB is TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO mainstream)..i think you will find mainly teamgroups in UK.
R9 280x..almost everything in the 250 range is a re-brand...be it form any side)my suggestion..take r9 290.
Seasonic M12II 750W PSU(damn good PSU for its price and modular so u dont have to fight hydra every-time u open up the case)
128GB samsung Evo
1TB/2TB WD cavier blue/black (depends on how much pron u want and how fast u want it.)
Case is pretty subjective IMHO...try to get the 760T from the corsair.
get a cooler...u will thank me later since the stock cooler form Intel is complete garbage.
DID i miss anything?
Dude, I have decided on CPU
GPU 760 GTX
PSU Corsair CP-9020054-UK RM Series RM650 80 Plus Gold 650W ATX/EPS Fully Modular Power Supply Unit
Case Aerocool Strike-X Air Open Frame PC Case E-ATX
SSD: mostly intel or curcial
HDD: I have 4 TB already lying around, might buy a new blue
MB is TBD
THe R9 280x does reasonably better in the performance benchmarks vs the GTX 760, but its like 40 bucks over the Nvidia.
Alternatively you can get the ATI 270x which undercuts the 760 GTX.
Nopes, no ATI cards primarily because of Linux support. The nvidia drivers are much better.
Separate names with a comma.
