Hola .... My Samsung Galaxy S II is one phone which often refuses to work , the way i want after the firmware update to 4.0.3 ... the LAG FEST started. My phone is plagued with rare Restarts , Often unresponsive, & Shabby White Graphics in most recent games ( Asphalt , Gangster , HAWX ) , after a fine google search , I learn't that Rooting the device solves most of the issues & i vaguely understood what Rooting means & the Risks involved. What i did not get was .... Whats Cynogenmod & what are the other Roots available ? Which one is the Best & Stable release ? Please Guide me Thanks . TheMightyS
btw... heres another easy method Step 1: Download the required kernel for your Samsung Galaxy S II: CF-Root XXLPQ Extract the .zip file. Step 2: If your device is connected to your computer, please disconnect it. Step 3: Download and launch ODIN v1.85 [XDA Thread] Step 4: Click on PDA and select the CF-Root-xxx-vX.X.tar which will be located in the file you extracted in Step 1. Step 5: Switch off your Galaxy S II, and once it is completely shut down, press and holdVolume Down + Power to place the device into download mode. Step 6: Once in download mode, connect your Galaxy S II to your computer. Step 7: Make sure you have not checked the Re-Partition option. Step 8: Click on START and wait for your device to reboot. If everything has gone as it should have, your Galaxy S II will now be rooted on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich.
^ Thanks buddy , What changes will this Root bring about ? Like Battery performance ? & others ? & What should i do next , after Rooting ? & Whats CyanogenMod ?
Cyanogenmod in simple terms is the baap of all roms.. Cfw - customfirmware - improves efficiency removes waste bloatware and speeds up the mobile
^ so can i install that ? Should my device be rooted first , in order to install CyanogenMod ? Will the above mentioned Root [ CF-Root XXLPQ ] be compatible CyanogenMod ? Thnaks
