unsubscribe from all these services. but it's quite funny that you lose your navigation when this happens. are these USSD messages or regular text SMSs?

I never faced this issue with the Lumia 620.

    ^ Thanks.

    Flash messages fixed:

    1. In your phone settings locate ‘airtel live!’ menu.
    2. Then ‘airtel now!’
    2. Select Start/Stop > Stop.

    Was so simple

Ya done, notifications yaar not texts, they used to block navigation completely. I disabled them in the other voda too. Lets see if it works. Never bothered with them earlier.

The ass who sold the phone to me registered me on outlook.com said I have to register to get free games etc. I changed my password on outlook.com and now I cant download any softwares/app from store. If i change password on outlook.com the phone should be able to sign in with the new password right? All it says is username/password incorrect for both passwords! What can i do ?

EDIT: I changed my password on outlook.com and activated two step verification which was causing the problem. Deactivated it and all seems good. Resetting the phone is always an option but I had to headbang getting registered again. Changing username etc would have been more complicated. Anyway problem solved.

Microsoft services are sub par. Most of their security features like "call you phone" from PC and my other simply are down most of the time/don't work. Seriously we use windows shit simply because there is nothing more supported than their bullcrap.

Now the next question. Advantages of 3G over 2G for navigation or anything else?

Updates: I downloaded new here maps and updated all of them. When I use the phone for navigation data usage has reduced to a great extent. I went > gurgaon>delhi>back>pickup up Vinny from office>back home : used only 8-10 mbs

3G is better if you are going into a region where you don't have the maps pre loaded. Else 2G works fine for position fix and searching for online addresses.

Basically if you don't have maps downloaded to your phone (like google maps), you'll need 3G to download and update your surroundings real time.

I use offline maps + data, will 3G fasten anything? Sometimes when I miss a route it takes time for "route re-calculation". It is not like your N8 bro ;)
