Test mules have already been showcased, and reviewed by magazines a couple of days back.

With a price range between 20-28 Lakhs, it's surely going to be tough for the CR-V to eat into the sales of the Fortuner and the Endeavour. The issue being, they are launching it only as a petrol option.

    With 2 engine choices, 2.0 ( 154 bhp )and 2.4 ( 187 bhp ) litres, the 2.4 getting full auto mode and 4X4.

The 2.0 will be offered as a 6 speed manual or a 5 speed auto box.

The car which has been voted several times as the most appealing to women, is surely going to have a hard time convincing penny pinchers, who want SUV class, but are not ready to pay for petrol.

Looks great IMO. Apparently it's dimensionally smaller on the outside, but more spacious on the inside in comparison with the previous model.

The new model is more aerodynamic, which should do some good for it's fuel efficiency.

Check out some pics from their Canadian website -

I am going to agree to the fact that this car might be appealing to american women, front design looks very american.Rear feels like inspired from Volvo.

it's a petrol. the only petrol SUV that deserves to exist is Nissan P60 aka JONGA. even there, i'd swap with a 4L HINO.

I had a CR-V a looong time back. Was a great machine.. had moved to it from another SUV, The Nissan Pathfinder.
But the one I had.. looked nothing like this :(
Funny part was, we used to consider this a Small SUV, Honda had a bigger brother.. called the Passport (I think)

^^ That looks a lot like our Indian Chevy Tavera, which is also incidentally a rebadged Isuzu, so was the Honda.

I looked up their product line-up, this looks to be their flagship SUV at the moment.
