Which would still be around 3.5-4L, however what it does is create steps for buyers to upgrade to. Currently the cheapest that one could go after the ninja 250 ( 3.2L ) was either the Ninja 650R ( 5.5L ) or the Ducati ( can't remember model think it was 790, at 6L ).

The UK pricing for the CBR500R is around 250 pounds cheaper than the Ninja 300 ( 4950 vs 5200 ), but crucially has that 200cc extra to up its ante.

Though yes, the CBR is heavier than the Ninja ( 194 kgs vs 172 ), it does have that additional grunt ( 47 bhp vs 39), and the potential to clearly have a 200+ kmph top speed! Yay!
