    Getting a deal on one. Is the Alienware series any good?

    Other options are MSI and Asus...

    For gaming try the MSI or ASUS ..


    Or just wait for the PS4 launch naaa

    A friend got an Macbook Air with Haswell 4th Gen i5 & 128GB storage + 1 TB External for 63k in Abu Dhabhi.

    Mainly - Gaming, browsing, Downloading, Skype. In that order.

    I Got a MacBook air haswell. Running dual boot Mac osx and win7...:D. Not for gaming hower can game a few at lowest settings to medium.

    Note: it does give 12+ hrs battery...:)

    You can get the 128 GB Haswell Macbook Air for 63k ..
    Friend bought one recently from Abu Dhabhi and got a 1 TB free External .

    FarCry 3 - (Win :cool: 20-35fps in DirectX 11, all medium/high but shadows low, 1280x800 (vid)
    Bioshock Infinite [FPS Drop Fix]
    Battlefield 3
    Team Fortress 2 - (OS X) 50-80fps on all max settings (vid)
    Black Ops 2 - (OS X) 40-55fps on all max settings (vid)
    Modern Warfare 3 - (Win :cool: 45-60fps on all max settings, 1360x768 (vid)
    Minecraft - (OS X) 30-60fps on all possible graphics settings set to max, 1440x900

    Okay, got a chance to visit the outlet today. Checked out the M18x and the M14x and one more from Asus. The M18 is definitely not for me, especially with the big a$$ charger.

    here are some pics I took of the specs that might help!

    First up, the Asus models -

    Out of these, the G750JX makes the most sense to me. Since the 3d bit is not something that Ill really be using. and paying extra for a 780 instead of a 770 doesn't really make all that sense.


    From Dell -

    Though the M18X is not an option, here's a pricing spec -

    I saw the 14X in the box, picked it up and checked it out. Much easier to manage/handle/carry.

    What do you suggest? 765M vs 770?

    770....but if portability is the thing you treasure most then take the slimmer one :p

    Why not a desktop JD - you can make a home theater - couch gaming system out of it...

    portability. I would wanna be able to carry it with me when I shift around or travel, or even visit India.

    If this is the case do reconsider since you would eventually bail out after couple of months with laptops that weigh 3kg and additional with chargers.
