Hyosung have finally brought in some of their heavy weights into the arena.

They finally launched the new 650R, and the GV650, a 650cc, V-twin, 75 BHP cruiser that has the show and the go.

Priced at 4.99Lakhs for the cruiser, and 4.79Lakhs for the Sports bike, this undercuts the Ninja 650R by a whopping 50k.

Though the looks of the 650R from the rear is not that great, the cruiser does have me drooling all over it.

The Cruiser comes with Belt Drive, and a 0-100 time of 6 seconds, with a top speed of over 195kmph is far more than anyone would want/expect from such a bike.

I would probably chuck the 2x1 exhaust for a 2x2 straight thru, and let those twin cylinders thump some rump!

I am guessing an on road price of 5.30-5.40 for the cruiser, which is really really sweet!

( No, I am not buying it!)

Some pics from their website -

    And the 650R -

For a cruiser, isn't the sitting position slightly lean?

Nope, it should be comfortable enough. I am waiting for the bike to arrive in the showroom, definitely going to test this out if they let me. :p

Pretty much the same as buying one there. You will buy it for approximately 1.5Lakhs here, then ship it to yourself for about 30-40k.

Then register it over there, and pay the relevant duties etc. It makes more sense to buy one there for about 4000-5000 pounds. Look for some good second hand deals. They go really cheap.

However your license will have to be above the entry level 125cc category to ride a bullet there. ( 349cc and 499cc)

That is about 2 lacs of expenses or may be little more.
however 4k is about 3.2 lacs, still cheaper.

I don't think the Indian Bullet would comply with British Automotive laws .. especially the Loud Exhaust.

It does comply. In fact India has the most stringent emission laws in that regard.

Init you have to account the cost of registration and validation as well

But what about the Noise standard .. they even had to tone down the Harley's for launching them in the EU ?

RE made in India will be quieter in UK.

Actually someone who can clear this out is turbo99i . He's been in the UK for several years, and owns several bikes there.
