The much awaited Duke 390 gets launched today. Expected pricing between 1.8-2.2 Lakhs, it could be priced at 1.99 Lakh for the base model and 2.2 Lakhs for the one with ABS.

Or there could just be one model with ABS as standard

Goody Good, can't wait to test ride this baby!

For the money and the performance and spec, this makes for a great deal.

First time Indian riders will be able to experience and grasp 40+ BHP of power on a budget (well not exactly so, but compared to the competition yes).

A true stepping stone to the world of Sports biking, this will help people mature their riding and teach them respect for power.

The competition that's cheaper is either less on power ( CBR 250) or too expensive ( Ninja 300, 650 etc).

However, this will still make for a city bike only. For highway riding, be prepared to be slapped around silly, as I experienced on the Duke 200. Riding at 100-110 was about the limit, any faster and the wind resistance makes for a very tiring ride.

The CBR still wins out on top as being the more comfortable tourer in that regard. However this is one hooligan of a bike ( Duke 200 ), with a steady supply of NOS!
