I have recently picked up jogging to increase stamina! Pening down my experience to remove your fear of pain, fatigue, eventually excuses of NOT GETTING OUT OF THE BED . Logictics- find a park which has a non-concrete running track(Concrete is not good for you knees if you are overweight/ not been physically active for a while). Measure a km to check your progress. Treadmill should be the last thing on your mind to be used(if you have no other option due to space constrains, please take advice from an educated fitness trainer, not "Kamlesh" from your local gym ... who must be some Mr. Delhi/ Bahadurgar/ Hisaar/ Jhajjar etc. in one of the past 15 years). Firstly, you would have to sacrifice on night television, gaming, movies, weekday daru parties, socializing (keep them for the weekend ). Get up fresh! If you havent been phsically active for a couple of years. Start with slow walking followed by brisk(don't look down, look straight forward)! Dont look for a partner if you are a chatter box shut up for a while The MANTRA is whatever you do, needs to last for 25 mins non-stop! Once done with Walking, start jogging like a toddler, dead slow but on your paws not the entire foot(the same MANTRA follows everytime). The hard part comes when your leg muscles start aching. At that moment motivate yourself to overcome than pain. Done. "your fear of pain" is gone!!!!!! "From here on.... there would be no looking back" Suggestions, advice, advice, discussion welcomed! P.S- Dont forgot to do a good warm up before you start! I am sure, folks intrested in this thread would know about warm-up . For the couch potatos look up you tube!
