Whts the major difference between Asus o play 1 & 2 ? Will USB 3.0 really help, if yes then where ?

I had kept max budget of 3 -4 k for this player.

Is it worth to spend 7 k on this ??

Whatever you do, don't get the WDTV Live Gen 3. This player cannot be modded (as of now) and chances of it being moddable are remote.

Im using a Nationite HDVP-2 Bought from 1800 bucks from buygamingstuff. Plays any damn thing I throw at it, including a 18gig hd file! Total VFM. Comes with ethernet, provision for a laptop HDD to be installed inside it, and if you have a wifi dongle, it can stream video right from your home network! HDMI out, Component out and the regular RCA AV out!

3.0 would only help with better transfer rates. HD movies play fine on USB 2.0 as well. And USB 3.0 is backward compatible.

Yelling wont get it for you. 3D playback is the same as playing back a normal movie. Its the video file that has to be in 3D. Unless you are talking about some new players that convert 2D movies to 3D like those high end televisions. .

What on earth is XBMC ? How to use it, with what ? :/

I would be playing 3D movies (half SBS), also my HDTV converts 2D to 3D :)

I will search ebay for links and update here.
