Need a Display to hook up to the AlienWare. The 14inch screen is a tad small when I want to browse and watch something simultaneously.

Restrictions - My Desk has two shelves on either side, where the Monitor will go.

Maximum width of the monitor has to be under 24 inches or 61cm.

    Depth is not an issue.

Budget - As cheap as possible.

Primary requirement - Videos and browsing. Will try gaming since the AW is also a Full HD display.

    Thanks in advance!

Is it cool to mix two different size monitors though.
Like 23 incher with say 27incher?

Your eyes will hate you for it since you'll have to adjust to the different icon and text size when between screens.

Unless you are exclusively using one screen for video and the other for your regular browsing etc.

Getting Dell E2414H for about 9,400 INR.

Adding a HDMI to DVI cable (Belkin) for about 800 INR.

Still cheaper than the Samsung S24C300HL that I am getting locally for about 14,300 INR.

I can see so much better now! Got a Belkin Pure HD HDMI to DVI cable to hook up the Display to the Laptop.

Which 24" IPS monitor should I get? I do not need a obscenely overpriced Dell Ultrasharp but something which is VFM.
Preferably, if it is matte screen, it will help.

Cheaper options are LG or Samsung, preferably something at 21.5 inches would be much cheaper. However get the Dell, the display is worth it.

There is a M variant that is a 5ms response screen and importantly height adjustable. This is just tilt.

Dell's UltraSharp is very well priced under 24", around $280 IIRC

    280$ is out of budget.

    Max can go to 160$.
