Watched The Onion Movie - And all I can hum are the raunchy songs in the movie What a watch. I'm surprised I did not know about this movie earlier. 4/5!
Pacific Rim Russell Peters Notorious [2013] Ugly [2014] Usain Bold The Fastest Man Who Has Ever Lived Usain Bolt The Fastest Man Alive Big Hero 6 [2014] All good ones
Watched Exodus. With all the actors, like Kingsley and Weaver, its a fail. Prince of Egypt was much nicer. 1.5/5
Saw Fury. Definitely up there with the best, but Saving Private Ryan somehow still holds the WWII group story record for me. Shia Lebouf was brilliant in his performance. Brad Pitt could've been used more, but was more than enough and convincing in his role as WarDaddy. Definitely a watch for WWII enthusiasts. The gore, pain and blood is as honest as it gets in some places. 4/5
Paddington - Lovely one time watch movie. I was looking forward to seeing this one, but didn't get the chance. Thankfully had it on the in-flight entertainment on a recent flight. 3.5/5 Furious 7 - Enough has been said and written about this movie. I'll just say that the director/writers handled Paul's absence very well and made the movie around him pretty well. There is no real story or script, just mindless action, but then that's what FAF has been about. The tribute and fitting ending to Paul's character really made me sad though. 5/5 for the feels. 2/5 for the movie, 4/5 for the action.
So it was a movie marathon time over the last few days. Watched the following - 1) PK - Didn't understand what the fuss was about. The portrayal of a Hindu spiritual leader was probably the flashpoint, but still. The movie was a bit dragged on, the songs unwanted. You simply cannot get your eyes off Anushka's botched up lips (WTF was she thinking). That girl was so pretty in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, and look at her now. Aamir Khan was good as usual, the bhojpuri act was a bit over done, though great. I was half expecting him to learn proper Hindi and English by going all touchy feely on Anushka. Anyhow, worth a watch, 2.5/5 2) Happy New Year - Yep, I had not seen this movie. Saw it finally. Farah Khan has done a good job. The movie cliches, and the dialogues are super funny. The Madar-Chod na yaar bit got a tad boring. Deepika has put in a great performance, despite what limited acting she had. Abhishek Bachchan despite having a double role, was over shadowed by Sonu Sood even. Boman Irani is great as ever. Definitely a one time watch, go for it, but leave your brains home. The robbery was one of the good and original ones to original from the Indian Film Industry. 3/5 3) Avengers - Age of Ultron - Too rushed, too much information in one movie and half hearted action sequences. If you compare the two Avenger movies, the first one had a much grander scale for the war scenes. The comic timing and dialogues do lighten up the movie at times, but I failed to follow the creation/purpose behind Ultron, and then the Vision etc during the movie. They simply rushed it all together. 3/5
Watched - Planes Fire and Rescue A pretty half hearted attempt at a sequel to be honest. The storyline is weak, and has no trademark Disney/Pixar traits. Sad to see such a decent idea go bad. 2/5
Batman Unlimited: Animal instincts Yeah not too bad Batman vs Robin: Court of owls this was good, but again too many bat movies
Since there wasn't much to watch, Saw Focus - Margot Robbie is such a Hottie! I know that rhymes, but it is so forsaken true. Will Smith does a really smooth act, however the movie some how loses pace post mid way. They could've been slicker with the story. However a great con movie for enthusiasts who enjoy such a genre. Do watch! 3,5/5
I like Margot Marvel's The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron (2015) - IMDb One of the most boring action movies that i had ever seen -- 2/10 I hope they make it interesting and absolute action fest when Thanos shows up.
Watched Dreamworks latest, Home - Jim Parson and Rihanna have done a great voice over. But the story lacked the involvement that generally comes with a DW movie. Defintely worth a watch. 2.5/5
