Watched Khumba, an animated movie about a zebra born with half stripes. Part Madagascar, Part Lion King and bits from here and there. A tad long and the songs are not that great. The ostrich and bunny are the only two characters that stand out to be honest. 2.5/5
Holy Man - Eddie Murphie regards it as one of his worst movies, but for some silly reason, I actually like him a lot in the movie. 3/5 - one time watch.
Watched Queen last night. I don't really like Kangana, but the portrayal of a typical Delhi girl with the stereotype mind suits her to a T. Many day to day nuances typical of a Delhi community/family. Slightly slow in bits, but what I liked was the fact that the director/script writer did nothing that would please the masses. It was a very honest storyline. Minor liberties were taken here and there, but nothing over the top. Do watch - 4/5
Just watched Father of Invention (2010), Kevin Spacey is versatile as usual and Camilla Belle is a cutie to watch! Virginia Madsen is still a hottie! Good one time watch... 3/5!
Captain America : The Winter Soldier 7/10 Liked it better after a second watch. I did a quick take of the first Capt. America movie for comparisons as well and have to say the first part was immensely better than this. Though origin stories tend to give the creators a lot more to work with, Winter Soldier still came off a 'generic summer action movie'. Speaking more as movie watcher (than a Comic book reader) .. Things that stuck out were Steve Rogers seemed pretty averse to killing bad guys as compared to the last time when he was genociding Hydra goons in 101 ways. There high speed generic mixed martial arts fight scenes now take over where the Capt. would storm in guns blazing. The only few takeaways from this movie were that SHIELD is dead, so is HYDRA. Nat has the hots for the Capt. Steve gets his own Token Black guy sidekick just like Iron Man. Though I imagine one of them (token black sidekicks) will die in/before the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron. Another obvious "implant" was the tribute to the American Soldiers which followed Falcon's storyline, we are lead to believe that even in the Marvel-Avengers universe the US invaded Iraq-Afghanistan. Even the first movie had the WWII Patriotic propaganda but it was more tongue in cheek, this one is shoehorned in. The last scene where Nick Fury Gravestone has "The path of the righteous man .. " inscribed on it was really funny, though no one I watched the movie with got that joke. Danny Pudi's cameo was cool, cool cool cool
Watched Winter Soldier and I kept wondering.. there's so much action happening at Shield HQ.. where the hell is IronMan! Frankly a lot to handle by the Captain himself (I'm not a reader of the comics). Fury had to be alive.. it was just a matter of time how/when.
Yep.. Thats what i meant.. Though any one noticed scarlett's straight hair instead of her curls in the previous films??
Watched Ender's Game.. that too in 60fps.. Was amazed by the graphics and the special effects. The story of Ender, a gifted strategist with a keen sense of leadership.. which is far ahead of his years.. very very interesting. Rated a Must watch - 4/5
I didn't quite like it, you never really got the feel of how much was at stake and the 'enemy' they were fighting all along, it was a race of (hyper intelligent interstellar bugs) ...
