Need to get a Car for home as we need to put down the zombified M800, Budget is around 4 Lacs. Location: Lucknow. Also someone please guide me through the Car Loan process (is it really that difficult). Currently looking at the Chevrolet Beat entry level variant (ex-Showroom is 4.12 Lac) - what other options are there to consider. No rigorous use, maybe like 50 KMs a week. @carowners-of-raid101 @people-who-know-how-to-manage-their-finances.
Not a bad vehicle at all. Resale might be an issue. Who will be driving it? Secondly, car's can be financed upto 80% of showroom value, registration, road tax and insurance have to be paid by buyer. What's your downpayment amount like?
Also how long are you planning to own it? since for a long term owner ship, reliability is more important than resale. However sub 4L options are limited to Eon, the new Celerio (No idea about availability) or the i10. I would recommend the i10 (owned 2 in the house, one still under ownership). Eon is sluggish but makes up for it with features and great interiors and boot space. No info on the Celerio, but being a Zuki, it would be popular for sure.
Its for Dad, long term ownership . Planning to go for a 1L down payment . i10 seems nice as well. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
i10 does make a lot of sense. If he would like easy entry and exit, the WagonR would be a worth alternate.
celerio has a long waiting period roughly 2-3 months that is the word i have heard floating around.safety would be an issue.brio is another option you can look at base model.maintainance cost is the cheapest & it is the safest hatchback in the country.for more details you can call me as i can give you detailed maintainance frequenices of various components of honda cars.cheers.
The salesperson spoketh.. --- Double Post Merged, Mar 6, 2014 --- How much is the base Brio again? And what features does it have?
The Datsun Go is priced to start from 3L. Does sound like a reasonable bargain with a durable engine. Do consider if ownership is going to be 4-5 years.
Datsun seems too stripped down .. I was checking out the i10 vs Ritz and the i10 basic model has more features than the Ritz (which has more power).
How is the i10 Grand ? .. seeing it on the roads a lot, looks a lot better than the i10 on the outside. The 1.2 L Kappa Engine (VT) has got more power as compared to the i10 1.1 L iRDE2 .. (Sportz) Hyundai Grand i10 (4.25 L) vs Hyundai i10 Sportz ( 4.35 L) Max Power (bhp@rpm) Grand - 81 @ 6000 i10 - 68 @ 5500 Max Torque (Nm@rpm) Grand - 114 @ 4000 i10 - 99.08 @ 4500 Features seems more or less the same, the dimension of the Grand are a little bigger. Length (mm) Grand - 3765 i10 -3585 Width (mm) Grand -1660 i10 -1595 Height (mm) Grand - 1520 i10 -1550
The Grand i10 is top contender for now.. Coming up around 5.1 Lacs (on road) for the Magna Model .. sort of steep as there are zero dealer/company discounts on it. HDFC offering 90% finanace at 10.75% Interest. The i10 Magna is coming out to 4.6 Lacs (on road) with the same features + its has 2 years addon warranty as well. The Eon kinda small now next to the i10 & Grand i10. _____________________________________________________________________ Liking the bigger size and boot space of the Grand i10. Rear AC Vents. Styling. Checked out Maruti as well, seems like Hyundai is bigger on offering features. ______________________________________________________________________
Well the Grand i10 is the successor to the i10 everywhere. So it would be prudent to stick with the newer model. However Manufacturers have a habit of selling the old and the new models together in the market (Zen Estilo and Wagon R, The Original Zen and it's successor the Alto, Ford Fiesta and the new Fiesta). Having owned an i10(2 infact, one first gen 1.2 and now the later 1.1 magna), other from minor suspension niggles and clutch (not necessarily) it's a durable car and is built well.
