Or for about 5,300 in Indian Rupees.

The phone which supposedly has a refreshed version of the Asha OS, which has it's roots in a cross between S40 and S60 generation OS.

There are some nifty tweaks, and the best bit is the free Facebook Access, if you are on Airtel or MTNL for lifetime! This is surely something that would appeal to the college crowd.

However Whatsapp was not available as an app at the moment. Neither were maps. Apparently they are working to get this out in a couple of months.

Having lost investor faith, and facing a lot of flak for sticking with Microsoft and Windows 8 only for their operating system of choice, Nokia really needs to do something to win back market share.

This launch targets the entry level smartphone category, which is controlled heavily by Samsung.

How it fares out, only time will tell.

This is actually a good move.. Glamoursing the entry level touch phones.

The design seems targeted to the 16-22 age groups.

Not yet apparently .. they will still trying to get HW vendors to partner with them but its hard since Ubuntu Mobile is largely an unfinished OS at the moment.
