Why not start with the details of car audio equipment you guys own ? Just mention the head unit make/model, the speakers size/model, the amplifier/subwoofer if any. Wiring probably. Damping? Adding more details/highlights around any of the above equipment is always appreciated. Don't mention the budget. Instead just mention what you like about your (or you family car's audio) and what things you miss. To keep the ball rolling, I'll start with mine: Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-80PRS (Audiophile grade circuitry. Three way adjustable HPF/LPF filters wth variable slopes. Individual 24 bit DACs for each channel. Auto Time Alignment, Auto EQ. Supports lossless (.wav) formats.) Front Speakers: Hybrid Audio Technology Clarus C61-2 (Stiff Paper cone for balanced mid range tonality. Component system with crossovers tuned at 5KHz. Waterproof.) Rear Speakers: None Amplifier: Celestra FA475x (4x75W @ 4ohms, 4x175W @ 1 ohm stable, double balanced differential topology, unregulated power supply, inbuilt low-pass and high-pass filters.) Subwoofer: Some old school Clarion Dual Voice Coil 10 incher (nothing special except that it adds in some thump to the music when required ) Speaker Wires: Monster Extra Low Noise braided copper cables (very less voltage drop and pass clean signal) Interconnect Cables: Monster Extra Low Noise Version 4 multichannel cable (again clean signal transmission and very less voltage drop) Damping: Dynamat Extreme (only on the front doors) The best thing about this system is the mid range (and lemme tell you that I am sucker for that. Norah Jones tsk tsk ). The current HU that I own offers me numerous system level settings to shape the sound. For the nerds that we are, what else is needed. I just change the sound signature every other day and keep fiddling with the settings. Just love the tweakbility. I only wish I could get a better sub but I can make do with it for a while, till I accrue enough monies to upgrade to better sub (Rainbow vanadium/profi). Why don't you guys mention what you own ?
