    Some interesting facts -

    - The 86 not only pays homage to the original AE86, but also stands for the Bore and the stroke dimensions (86x86).

    - Though it sells as a 4 seater (2+2), the design of the boot and rear seats is such, that you can fold down the rear seats and put 4 track tires in there for a track day.

    - The front headroom has been designed keeping in mind for a driver with a helmet.

    - This is the first Boxer Engine from Subaru that uses Toyota's D-4S injection techonology.

    - The Centre of Gravity of the engine in this car rivals major supercars like Ferrari 360, Porsche etc, and is bettered in the Toyota stable by only the Lexus LFA. The engine actually sits lower than a Nissan Skyline even.

Lets see it beat the AE86 on a mountain track drift :p

Installed the filter yesterday. Must say the lower end response has changed (improved) and so has the intake roar -

    Installation pics -

    The Filter -

Opening the Airbox and removing the stock filter -

    the K&N installed -

Just tightened all the clamps hoses to make sure everything is secure and not leaking air and it was done. Took barely 10 minutes!

Now this filter (K&N) cost me nearly the price of 2 stock filters from the service centre. The stock filters would have been replaced every 30,000 kms as is (cleaned every 7,500 kms).

This has to be washed in K&N oil after 80,000 kms! (50,000 miles). And can be put back again!

Ordering an OBD2 Bluetooth Adapter for the ECU. Time to hook it up to review some parameters real time. Mainly want to see the difference before and after installing K&N, if the air filter has made any impact.
