I think the man's at the pinnacle of every achievement that there is to be had. He has broken all records ( barring one first class domestic cricket one ), and has stamped his authority on the game.

Time to walk away? I would say yes, if only not to try and make a comeback like MSC. That would ruin it for me atleast.

He can walk away after that one last explosive, signature style century and Ill give him a standing ovation in my living room....

The Gods need rest too you see.

    Whats your dig on it?

Let the champ play for as long as he likes .. he's the last of the true class masters of Cricket ..
All we get today are a bunch of hyper-energetic foul-mouth brats.

Sachin said he won't a day after he stops enjoying the game.
Consider that cricket is his life .. he goal .. his ambition .. to tell him to retire would like telling Superman to stop flying coz its been too long.

Seriously this is worse than kapil dev. Once should retire in his haydays and create place for younger players. I think he already have too much money in his accounts, how much more he wants to accumulate?

^^ I think Sachin is beyond money. It's no longer about the money for people like him, MSC, and others.

It's sports, what does age have to do with anything, it's not like any of the "youngsters" are doing better than him. You of all people should not be saying that a place in the team is warranted by one's age, it's what they bring to the team that counts, and Sachin brings more than himself, he bring so much positive energy that even Red-bull shies away, many of the other players have sid countless times that having Sachin in the team gives them a morale boost like no other. As for the money, he has way more than he or his next couple of generations can spend, in fact for the past decade or so, Sachin has been giving away his award money to the needy and pays for the travel and touring of some of his/team's supporters such as this guy: Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and he still wants tax waiver on his Ferrari?
Age has to do with sport, how youngsters perform is relevant, but he has been occupying the seat for like more than 20+ years? The greats retire at their peak to make way for others, that has been the way of sports. And sky wont fall if he leaves the team. youngsters depend for positive energy? WTF is that suppose to mean? I am sure other teams in the world are not negatively energised since they don't have sachin?

tax waiver was given by some minister. Fiat paid it off when they realized that there has been a mess up,and after even Sachin offered to pay for it.

He just scored a century in a Ranji match, none of the other national team players did. :p

Yes, this is some sorcery, having him in the team makes the players feel confident, and yes other team players have negative energy, heard of intimidation? :p

Despite everything he is the most experienced cricketer in the world.. and having that 20 yrs of Cricketing experience in your squad wouldn't exactly hurt now wud it.

He invented the shots that his opponents try to play.. he is a monument of respect.
