Suggest a Media Player

    Requirements -

    - Full HD
    - HDMI out
    - Wi-Fi streaming if possible

    Will be connected to the AV receiver on the Bose thru HDMI only.

    Bought a WD TV Live for the time being.

    Idiots don't even supply a HDMI cable with it. What has the world gone to!

    Thanks to @rpm and @moz next purchase would be a Raspberry Pi.

    Yeah, RaspPi should be good, your Bose can handle the DTS which is what is mainly lacking with RaspPi and XBMC.

    Thanks, it plays youtube videos and a lot of other apps.

    What i am not happy about is the boot up time and the time it takes to access a drive

    Disabling "scan hard drive" will fix it :wink1:. Slow boot is hard to fix but disabling scan hdd will make it ready to use much faster. Asus Oplay has this feature which I disabled, WD should also have one.

    It should play mkv, m2ts, flac, flv, mp4 etc.

    Did you tweak it? Set default audio/video to HDMI RAW as well.

    This supports Bittorrent. So d/l and stream right there.
