Dont need a netbook .. have one already ... and it doesnt suffice the needs ... low on screen size ... and very much slow :( ... though its an atom dual core with just 1gb ram...

How good is the apu quad core ? ... better than the i3 ? ...

what about the pdc laptops ? they are available for cheap .. under 25k... with a budget around 30k ill be able to put an ssd into it ...

so ... a better procy an ssd for future ... or a so so pdc + ssd now ? :p

If your work is basic, yes it will suffice. An SSD will speed things up, and can be added later on as well. Why not scout the second hand scene? or only new?

I would go with the Fujitsu, coz it's lighter. Both have the same speed drives, one unused slot available for expanding RAM to 4 gb from 2.

But most importantly, the Fujitsu has 3x USB 3.0, whereas the Acer has none.

yes .. but how good is fujitsu ? ... havent seen much laptops of the same around ... is it worth ... acer has better rep afaik ...i could either get the fujitsu and an external 3.0 hdd .. or get the acer and replace the hdd it came with an ssd .. n use the 500 2.5'' hdd in a 2.0 enclosure ...

    also how big a ssd should i go for ? ...60gb ? or 80gb ... ? ...

Can't really comment on the SSD size bro, depends on what your software size is going to be. For gaming (which your purpose is not) 120+ is the bare minimum now.

Then a 80 gig would suffice even.

Have a toshiba at home. Not bad at all. At this price point, nearly all the laptops you'll find are gonna be at par.

look at which companies have a service centre close by. In case of need, that might come handy.

For eg, I was pretty keen on buying an Acer, however when i found that the service centre is around 40 kms from my place, i decided against it.
