The intent of this thread is to have a genre-spanning jukebox with the bestest of unheard/uncommon songs. Feel free to post youtube links to the songs that you like. Just make sure that the song is not commonly associated with the band/artist. For example, November Rain, though a good song would not make the list here because it is as, if not more popular than Sweet child o' mine. Justing Bieber songs, contrary to the beliefs of a large section of the global population, are not songs. It is my steadfast, albeit a humble and contrite opinion that Justin Bieber need not use his ovaries any more, and his presence is more apt in the bowels of Venus, failing which, the core of any active volcano may be a fair substitute, if not as satisfying as the knowledge that the abominable spawn of a harpy and a Weston radio, at the very least, does not share the same planet with us.
Did you say uncommon? OK.. so from a Much simpler time here's .. HERMAN'S HERMITS-"LEANING ON THE LAMP POST"
Don't miss this one.. please. OK.. really nice song.. from none other than... Peter Sellers & Sophia Loren : Goodness Gracious me :
Alright. Brace yourselves LOL I tend to collect fabulous (to me) songs from the most obscure sources LOL The following was obviously found in a PS2 game. Two versions on the same song by Utada Hikaru: In Japanese: In English: That unintelligible gibberish she sings in the beginning of both versions is actually "I need more affection than you know" inverted.
I was pretty oblivious to this until it popped up in my playlist 2 days ago .. Definitely in my top 5 fav. songs .. brilliant lyrics and damn easy to play too ..
Not sure how uncommon it is.. Had heard it once on radio many years back as a kid and had instantly liked it..
This one is definetly rare .. Emilie Simon, shes a French singer .. most mushy-mush song i've ever heard .. snagged it off my brothers playlist years ago ..
From The Mind's Eye series that originally released on VHS. Intended to show off Dolby Digital technology and the level of sophistication of computer graphics at the time LOL These 2 songs in particular come from "The Gate to the Mind's Eye" (1994) ♪ The Valley of the Mind's Eye ♪ ♪ Quantum Mechanics ♪

One man and the guitar series now Something of a dream of mine to be able to just play like this. The techniques are called "guitar slapping" and "guitar tapping". ♫ Andy McKee - Drifting ♫ ♫ Justin King - Taps ♫ OK and now that you know what guitar slapping and tapping is, take a look at this (I am pointing to the first 60 seconds of the video): ♫ Miyavi - Selfish Love ♫
Old song. Originally from 1970, written by Tim Buckley. I will take it in any adaptation by anyone (there are tons, including a weepy version by This Mortal Coil). Here a version sung by Paula Arundell (2006). ♫ Song to the Siren ♫ Weepy version by This Mortal Coil (1984). Full lyrics: On the floating, shapeless oceans I did all my best to smile til your singing eyes and fingers drew me loving into your isle. And you sang "Sail to me, sail to me; Let me enfold you." Here I am, here I am Waiting to hold you. Did I dream you dreamed about me? Were you here when I was full sail? Now my foolish boat is leaning, broken lovelorn on your rocks. For you sang, "Touch me not, touch me not, come back tomorrow." Oh my heart, oh my heart Shies from the sorrow. I'm as puzzled as a newborn child. I'm as riddled as the tide. Should I stand amid the breakers? Or should I lie with death my bride? Hear me sing: "Swim to me, swim to me, let me enfold you." "Here I am. Here I am, waiting to hold you."
Nine Inch Nails song, cover by Johnny Cash. ♫ Hurt ♫ I hurt myself today to see if I still feel I focus on the pain the only thing that's real the needle tears a hole the old familiar sting try to kill it all away but I remember everything what have I become? my sweetest friend everyone I know goes away in the end and you could have it all my empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt I wear this crown of thorns upon my liar's chair full of broken thoughts I cannot repair beneath the stains of time the feelings disappear you are someone else I am still right here what have I become? my sweetest friend everyone I know goes away in the end and you could have it all my empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt if I could start again a million miles away I would keep myself I would find a way
