"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" - Harvey Dent, TDK The trilogy comes to end .. the symbol of hope, courage & justice to the greatest city lives on. Immortalized. One of the most important works of Bat-verse, brought to life by Team Nolan spanned 7 years since the beginning of Batman to his fall and his ultimate redemption. For all Batman fans.. the space is now yours.Discuss away..
My reaction was of happiness and tears, literally towards the end. Why this movie matters is because there aint any other superhero movie that makes you emote so much for the hero. Tbough yeah, a collapsing critical nuclear reactor wont be time definitive is the only blooper i would say. The director did do it justice by explaining that it has been converted to a nuclear bomb but still you cannot be time definitive to the exact second with something like this. On the whole, best superhero movie in decades!
^^ yeah...agree with the emotion wala part ! but yeah...best superhero movie till date...( will keep it at par with avengers, coz of the sheer entertainment value, and my personal liking )
Avengers is like the david dhawan ( in a good sense ) of movies. Fully entertaining and great value for money. This is like the leela bhansali of superhero movies. makes you think, relate and jog your mind.
Well IIRC .. the reactor thing needed an external power to keep it stablized. and when Bane removed it from its container device it started to run on its internal power source which would run for 5 months before a chain reaction started .. so time based failsafe is quite plausible .. Like what happened in Fukushima Daiichi.. when there was loss of power they switched to their backup diesel generator to keep the reactor pumping & the core cool. ---------------- Batman isn't a Superhero .. he is a righteous protector of Gotham City .. a Citizen standing up for Justice.. When asked "Who made him incharge of Gotham?" in TDK ,, Harven Dent replied "We did when we let scum take over a city" .. Batman took the mantle of being the city's hero when Gotham's true protectors, its cops & legal system were too weak and faceless to stand upto organized crime. He knew the importance of having a symbol which people can associate with.. A symbol of fear to Gotham's enemies and a symbol of hope to its citizens. This was his mission to inspire the people of Gotham to stand up for themselves and each other .. "A day when Gotham would no longer need Batman" "I believe in Harvey Dent" has a much deeper meaning .. now that you think of it. In TDK, Bruce Wayne hoped Harvey Dent could become that symbol of Hope for Gotham .. be the protector that didnt need a mask to hide his identity.. but this was all proven wrong .. Harvey as manipulated and corrupted by hurting the one person he loved.. Which is why Batman tells John Blake in TDKR that A mask is needed to protect those that he cares about.. He was talking about Harvey Dent. His powers & determination didnt come from being bitten by a Spider or being from another planet. Bruce Wayne/Batman was himself a victim of the injustice and evil which had Gotham was harvesting.
^^ please....dont compare batty with spidey .... not when i am here...and not at this hour .. please !
Let the mass wankery begin. This is not as good TDK, but ?#@*&%!^$~ this is probably the second best i have ever seen. nothing comes closer, not even watchmen.
Got to watch it again, miss the starting 5 min & some after interval!!! But it was an AWESOME movie!!!! Went to Directors Cut to watch it Specially!!!
yeah, the bomb plot was not something i would expect from Nolan, though it's very common in DC literature.
