Alright, we have seen a lot of things/developments in the Home entertainment scenario. From 7.1 channel to 13.1 even if I remember correctly, to 3D viewing experience to HD formats that make the action feel as if you are viewing it for real. From various speaker placements, to positioning, to damping, to delay to what not. Will there be a simplification? For the average normal user to get on board? Will there be a standardization ( HDMI being an example ) for all video/audio formats? Will it be cheaper? ( for a normal home setup ) What do you think is the future of the LCD/LED/Plasma??? My thoughts - - Sound setups will have to be simplified, and easier to setup/install. - TV viewing/LCD/LED etc will merge further with your HTPC/wifi/home network to ensure a seamless and smooth viewing experience. - 3D will remain a novelty, though those willing will invest and take it home, others will enjoy in the cinema. - Companies will eventually counter Piracy by streaming movies direct to your home screen for a extremely small fees ( Any money made is better than making no money at all ) - Speaker count will go down, and will eventually go back to basics, since its whats going to drive the volume/rather than the quality. - Mobile phones/tablets will soon feature in as an accessory for playback ( Content can be restricted, so can be viewing ) Any and all takes are welcome, as long as we do not get into an argument!!!
