Thanks man. Okay, just prep me up with the items I would be needing. By a Fast Card do u mean the Raspberry Pi itself? A 512MB version should suffice?

And can i jig up my own Power supply ( got a lot of 220V to USB output adapters ) or would you recommend something specific?

What about heatsinks? Would they make sense?

I would like to order it online over there ( everything if possible, case included ), and then get it here when my friend comes in.

by card I mean a SD card. These babies are too small for graphics card infact they only have graphics processors!
the configuration is 5v 750 mA miniUSB port. if you can create your power supply then do it, but any power supply like HTC phones and iphone with proper converter should be fine.
I don't have a case, but you can order the case as well. Sound is through HDMI.
Not sure until unless you want to overclock it. Overclocking the pi is pretty simple, the default distribution provides various configurations for it.

Read some more, I doubt it will suffice for my needs, as navigation is slow and 1080p playback isn't possible at the moment. Also no DTS out without a receiver kills it as a viable option at the moment. I guess I will just have to do with my laptop, for when I need it and just use networked library in XBMC :(.

H264 encoded 1080p for sure? And absolutely smooth?

From what I have read, it is not possible.
