Portability YES -- Especially for Gyming and to carry it everywhere with along my Phone.

16GB should be enough for me even after expansion.

Rugged and tough, should be able to withstand bumps on table tops and the possible wash cycle :p

Don't want Video, have the phone for that and music takes up most of my phone's battery life. 3-4 hours a day at work it keeps playing music.

I won't be using any expensive IEM but I expect the sound output will be better than an Android phone atleast ?

Now given all these requirements .. tell me the following

    1. How easy is it to organize music on this ?
    2. Does it charge through the Laptop USB only ?
    3. Battery life ?
    4. User Interface of the Player ?

Finally the cost and how to buy it .. :)

Yes it's quite rugged. Not waterproof however :p

Bundled earphones are terrible they won't sound better than android phones with those earphones. You need to get decent pair of iem's to enjoy the SQ.

Organizing music is subjective. - It can play any audio files one thing. Yes even FLAC. Sorting via album, song, artist, folders (segregated as internal and external memory).

No it charges using microUSB port. It can charge via a adapter also. I am using an apple usb adapter for all my charging needs through USB (5v 1A)

UI isn't too great but customizable. I have disabled recording, audiobook etc from the UI.
Heavy customization can be done after rockboxing it(themes, games, additional eq settings etc)

Cost: I got it for dirt cheap from newegg for 30$.
In India you can avail it for 3.35k from here
Grabmore.in : Online Shopping of Electronics in India, Buy SanDisk SDMX22-004G-A57K Sansa Clip Zip 4 GB (Black) with cheapest price.

Difference between sansa clip+ and clip zip are as below
    Apart from the looks
zip now features a colored and bigger display for album arts
    microUSB port instead of minUSB

Get me that $30 deal too bru .. :)

In the charging question I meant
    a. does it have it own bundled adapter ?
    b. Can it charge while being connected to the Laptop USB as well?

--Music arrangement can be done using folders via USB Drive mode
    --I will only play MP3s
--I hope it can handle the occasional sprinkle of rain.

--I will get upto a 1k IEM for this then..
Will I get SQ as good as a normal laptop soundcard ?

I got a personal 10$ off coupon on newegg dbg that's when i ordered. Pricing fluctuates between 38$-41$ on newegg and amazon.
No it doesn't have a bundled adapter. Just a USB-microUSB cable. Yes it charges through almost all USB ports.
Yes it supports both MTP and UMS and hence files can be transferred as you please.
Yes it can handle few rain drops and falls too.

Will I get SQ as good as a normal laptop soundcard ?
A Better imo provided you use a decent iem's. Again SQ is very subjective.
    1k iem's would suffice easily.

For starters you can get these. Was in stock few days back and with 100 off coupon it came out to be 345 odd

Just got my Renault Duster Home. Color is woodland Brown.
It looks gorgeous and rides even better on Bangalore's krappy roads. :D
The suspension is ideal for broken Indian roads.
Oh boy, is it a looker? No idea! Guys in Merc and Audi raced, stopped me and asked all sort on inquisitive questions about the Duster.
How do I feel? Puzzled and a little annoyed, because I do not like unwanted attention at all the times.

Oh BTW, car is total function over form. Messed up ergonomics, non-premium feel etc. But when it comes to core mechanicals, it has everything spot on. Not to mention the awesome suspension it has. I doubt I can find a car less than 35L which rides like Duster. Potholes? Speed bumps? What are those? Dismissed like swatting a fly.
At one moment I had my heart in mouth when I took a unscientific speed breaker at high speed ( because I was busy watching those monstrous fenders in OVRMs ), surprise. No bounce at all, just a normal minimal vertical movement. In my Santro, I would have needed a ice pack on my fat arse and perhaps a Moov massage for my lower back.

Looking at current hoo haa about Diesel Cars being taxed more soon, I think I took a pretty good decision :).

    /Rant

Frigging Karantaka govt, charges 2+ Lacs in taxes and dishes out gift wrapped potholes.I feel like punching the governing morons.

    Damages? Don't even ask :(

COngrats buddy! Just take it easy for the first few 500-600 kms, let the suspension, brakes and engine all bed in properly. No rash driving!!!

I never drive rash, especially 4 wheelers. Thanks for the tip JD.
Will be keeping engine below 2500 RPM till first service, i.e around 2000 KM mark.

Oh BTW, I am getting 15.6 KMPL in Bangalore traffic which is phenomenal to me :D. Expecting this to go up after engine beds in.

Which one did you get? 85 or the 110? What I like most is the ground clearance and the massive wheels with No overhang. Get a butch looking guard or bull bar for the front.

    Pics!!!

I got 85 PS RXL (O). No bull bars for now. Amazingly Duster has almost nil body roll despite sitting pretty high above the ground.
First stop is a leather cover stitch for steering. A My Shaldan for car and a tyre pressure check. It looks high to me as of now.
