Damn.. What kind of connection do you guys get in college?
And what the hell do you find to download worth over a TB each month??
All the movies/shows/games/proggies that we can Possibly hope to use between us both in a month isn't coming to 400GB!!

Lemme tell you a story, my friend...
My first puter came with a massive 10MB (YES.. M:cool: HDD!!
But those were the Pre-windows days of MS-DOS

But cut to just a decade or so back...
Before the days of your torrents and "downloading habits"
wherein we thought a 10GB drive was huge!

So.. my question to you is..
Without downloading What possible use would you have of a 2TB drive?
How many of us are gonna create 2TB worth of data?
Am sure some odd videographer somewhere might.. but for most of us..
The only reason we buy massive HDDs is cuz of downloading!!

People buy 2 TB HDDs because they like to hoard data .. you missed a phase between the 10 gig & the 2TB HDDs,
it was the 700mb CD phase .. I had burnt over 50 CDs/DVDs with movies & games just to keep my 40 GB HDD free.

You can live with a fast connection and not compulsively save every thing you download .. with a faster connection I can very easily re-download something I want to watch again (.. as blasphemous as that sound)

I would be using about 10+ GB of data per week.

Invest in a good mobo and Ram. Rest of your hardware will go along nicely with it. The CPU deal is sweet. Just get a good aftermarket Heatsink to cool it, and maybe overclock it a bit as well >:)

3770: (not K) new, unused, no stock heatsink, 7 day testing warantee for 10K
    (He also has some 2600 (i7, 2nd Gen) , i5 2400, some laptop processors, and some I never heard of E52658, a server level processor w/8 cores/20mb cache )

    V6GT : harryneopotter : Am I interested?

Mobo: Old if price is good and has SATA3/USB3 .. wanted new cuz then I could charge it.

16 GB : New or old? Again.. I don't mind old.. just that this month I'm short on cash and would like to use Credit Cards :(

you missed the 512/1.2/2.1 gb era. i still have a 1.2 and 2.1 hdd each. 512mb one died on me, and i decided to cut open the drive. those magnets still come handy :D

Luciffer - Buy new, and 8 Gigs should suffice your needs/requirements. I think all mobos now would support Sata 3 and USB 3.0

thats an awesome price but you won't be able to overclock the 3770 non K edition!!!
does he also have any 3770K or 2600K?

if you won't OC then there is no need for this for you, a regular cheap one will suffice!!!

    old & new both available!!!

    New!

No.. he doesn't have K series.. he got these for testing from Intel.. he can't be choosy about what he gets.
But he's offering most of them for appox 1/2 market value.. for brand new processors .. so it's a deal.

Sidenote: Guy also just got the Razer gaming thin-a-mig-a-gig ... which I have dibs on the moment he's thru with it, provided Razer doesn't ask for it back. :) (Also another portable gaming thingy from nvidea that I never heard of)

Can't believe that I'm having to reopen this thread :(
Been sick and in bed the past few days. :(

Just checked mail to find that idiots at shopclues canceled my SSD order :(

Have no patience for this... Just want to order a damn SSD and go back to bed

So can anyone help me choose one between these:

OCZ Agility 3 120 GB SSD Internal Hard Drive (AGT3-25SAT3-120G) - OCZ: Flipkart.com

    Corsair Force 3 SSD | 120GB SSD | Buy SSD | 120GB Force 3 SSD

Barely any price difference between the two.. so would have preferred the Corsair
But I never heard of that OnlySSD.com store.. and Flipkart seems to suggest that the Corsair Force 3 is discontinued:
Corsair Force Series 3 120 GB SSD Internal Hard Drive (CSSD-F120GB3A-BK) - Corsair: Flipkart.com

Any other SSD in this price range is also OK.
    Help please harryneopotter mavihs
