    If you have sensitive data on your computers/phones, stop using Chinese communication equipment. Huawei did it in the past with their network routers and switches. Xiaomi doing it now with their phones. If I am not mistaken, Huawei products are banned in India for govt. use.

    First thing I did with my RedMi was install CM 11, primarily because of this exact reason.

    How's the performance on CM11? Some screen shots please?

    So far so good, I don't see noticeable lag. Phone is with my sister, so screenshots would be hard to get, besides, CM11 is pretty stock and nothing fancy like MIUI. Not getting heating issues and battery lasts full day (About 20-30% remaining) with decent amount of use.
